Mr. Charles M. Sonsteby is an Independent Chairman of the Board of the Company. He is currently Chairman of our Board. He is the former Vice Chairman of The Michaels Companies, Inc., the largest arts and crafts specialty retailer in North America and parent company of Michaels Stores, Inc., a role he held from June 2016 until his retirement in October 2017. He had served as CFO and Chief Administrative Officer of that company and its predecessor from October 2010 to August 2016. Prior to that, Mr. Sonsteby served as the CFO and Executive Vice President of Brinker International, Inc., a casual dining restaurant company, from May 2001 to October 2010. He joined Brinker in 1990 as Director of the Tax, Treasury and Risk Management departments and thereafter served in various capacities, including as Senior Vice President of Finance from 1997 to 2001 and as Vice President and Treasurer from 1994 to 1997. Mr. Sonsteby was elected to the board of directors of Valvoline, Inc., a producer and distributor of industrial and automotive lubricants and automotive chemicals, in September 2016. Mr. Sonsteby previously served on the board of directors of Zale Corporationrationration, a specialty retailer of diamond and other jewelry products in North America, from November 2006 to February 2011. since 2021.
