Mr. Bob Ratcliffe is Member of the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer of Admin Re at Swiss Re AG since March 1, 2011. He joined Swiss Re in 2001 and held a number of senior positions within capital marketsrelated areas. In 2008, he became Chief Operating Officer of Swiss Re Asset Management and Member of the Asset Management Executive Team. Prior to joining Swiss Re, Mr. Ratcliffe held a variety of managerial corporate and risk management positions at National Westminster Bank Group. From 1992 to 1997, he was Head of Risk North America, as well as Global Head of Credit for Greenwich Capital. From 1998 to 2000, he was Group Chief Credit Officer of NatWest since 2011.

Elected by the shareholders, the Swiss Re's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Swiss Re inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Swiss. The board's role is to monitor Swiss Re's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served.
