Mr. Jacob Wallenberg was Independent Chairman of the Board of Directors of Investor AB since 2005. He also chairs the Companys Remuneration Committee and serves as Member of the Audit and Risk and Nomination Committees. He joined the Board in 1998 and served as its Vice Chairman between 1999 and 2005. Mr. Wallenberg is former President and Chief Executive Officer of SEB. In the past, he also served as Executive Vice President and Head of Enskilda Division at SEB, as Advisor to the President and Chief Executive Officer at the company and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Investor AB. Apart from his duties at Investor, Mr. Wallenberg holds directorships at Nadaq, The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and Tsinghua School of Economics Advisory Board, Steering Committee ERT and is Member of IBLAC and The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences . He is also Vice Chair of ABB, Ericsson, FAM, Patricia Industries. Formerly, he chaired the Board of Directors of SEB, and was Vice Chairman at Atlas Copco, SAS, Stora. He was also Member of the Boards of The CocaCola Company, Electrolux, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, WMdata since 2005.

Elected by the shareholders, the Investor's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Investor inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Investor. The board's role is to monitor Investor's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. Investor's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects.
