Mr. Robert F. Cavanaugh is an Independent Director of Hershey Co. He is a member of the Finance and Risk Management Committee, the Governance Committee. Mr. Cavanaugh is Director of Hershey Trust Company, member of the board of managers of Milton Hershey School. He is Chairman of both organizations from 2012 to 2015. Mr. Cavanaugh, a 1977 graduate of Milton Hershey School, brings unique perspectives to the Board not only as a representative of stockholder, but also of the school that is its sole beneficiary. Mr. Cavanaugh is Chief Investment Officer of Vestar Development Company, Phoenix, Arizona, one of the privately held real estate companies in the western United States. He has held that position since October 31, 2011. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of ValueRock Investment Partners, an owneroperator of retail real estate properties located throughout the western United States from January 2013 to February 2014. Previously, he was Managing Director of DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, Los Angeles, California, a global real estate private equity firm. He held that position since October 1999. Prior to joining DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, Mr. Cavanaugh held positions with Deutsche Bank Securities, Goldman, Sachs Co. and LaSalle Partners. He has experience in investment banking, finance, real estate and risk management since 2003.
