Mr. Mark C. Rohr is appointed as Executive Chairman of the Board of the Company, effective May 1, 2019. He currently Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Celanese Corporationration Mr. Rohr was named our Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2012 after being a member of our board of directors since April 2007. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Rohr was Executive Chairman and a director of Albemarle Corporationrationration, a global developer, manufacturer and marketer of highly engineered specialty chemicals. During his 11 years with Albemarle, he held various executive positions, including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rohr held executive leadership roles with various companies, including Occidental Chemical Corporation and The Dow Chemical Company since 2020.

Celanese Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Celanese's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Celanese inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Celanese.
